The Nordic Permaculture Festival is a gathering for people who believe that caring for the Earth and caring for each other go hand in hand. Whether you grow food on a balcony, manage a farm, teach sustainability, build communities, or are simply curious about living more regeneratively, you’ll find a place here.
Surrounded by an active rural village, several permaculture sites and lakes to take a fresh swim, the festival offers a welcoming environment. Come to learn practical skills, exchange ideas, and experience the power of collaboration.
Everyone is welcome—from people who hardly know what permaculture is to experienced practitioners.
Festival location
The Nordic Permaculture Festival takes place in the village of Karjalohja in southern Finland, 90 kilometers west of Helsinki. The festival center is located in the center of the village, where all facilities such a shop, beaches, saunas, campsites and permaculture sites for field visits are all at a walking or biking distance.
Ikielo goes Nordic! In 2025 we arranged the Finnish permaculture festival “ikielo” in the same location. The festival was a great success. We are tapping into this experience so that the Nordic Permaculture Festival will be even better!
