Getting to Karjalohja

Karjalohja is located in southern Finland, 90 kilometers west of Helsinki. It can be reached by bike, car or public transport.

The nearest international airport is Helsinki Airport. You can take a ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki or Stockholm to Turku (Åbo).

From Helsinki or Turku, visitors can travel by train and bus or rent a car for the journey to the festival. Nearest bus stops are Saukkolan liittymä 21 (long distance buses) Lohja and Karjalohja Unkka (local busses). Nearest train station is Karjaa at a 30 km distance.

We encourage participants to reduce emissions by travelling together whenever possible.

Information about ride sharing opportunities will be shared through our community channels before the festival.

If you require an invitation letter for visa purposes, please contact the festival organisers after registering.

Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

Visitors can choose from several accommodation options in and around Karjalohja.

Options may include:

• Campsites for tent pitches and camper vans.
• Local guesthouses, hotels and holiday cottages.
• Airbnb house accommodation.

Further information about facilities, arrival times, and campsite guidelines will be available before the festival.

Food

Nutritious meals are available throughout the festival. Festival kitchens serve two warm meals per day. There is a café for breakfast and snacks.

Whenever possible, food is prepared using seasonal, locally sourced, and sustainably produced ingredients.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are always available, and we aim to accommodate common dietary requirements. Please provide dietary information when booking your meals.

Participants are also welcome to bring their own food. There is a small supermaket nearby the festival site.

We recommend bringing:

• Your own bicycle, if possible.
• Comfortable outdoor clothing
• Waterproof jacket
• Walking shoes or boots
• Reusable water bottle
• Notebook
• Sun protection
• Personal medication
• Swimming clothes for sauna or lake activities if desired

Accessibility

We aim to make the festival welcoming and accessible for everyone. The festival is child and family friendly. Besides the festival center, the event spreads into several satellite locations. You can loan a festival bike or use ride sharing to get to all locations with ease.

Accessibility information for venues will be published before the event. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we can assist you.

Sustainability

We encourage participants to minimise waste by bringing reusable cups, plates, bowls, and cutlery whenever possible.

Please help us care for the festival site by sorting waste correctly and respecting the surrounding natural environment.
